Testimonials & Clients Megan came out to give my gelding his first massage. She was so nice and explained everything as she went through the massage. During the massage my horse actually fell asleep! Afterwords I noticed a huge difference, not only in his movement, but his attitude was 100% better! He seemed to actually enjoy working again. He also had much trouble picking up his left lead before..and most times just would not pick it up at all. Yet after the massage he picked it up fine almost every time. From the very first time she came to our barn, she worked her magic. Dewey is an off-the-track TB who loves to be pampered. I have noticed an improvement in his movement, especially in his chronically "sticky stifles" with the massage therapy. Megan locates any sore spots and works on them to relax the soreness away. I notice improved flexibility, relaxation, and overall have a happier horse! She has a very quiet way with the horses that inspires their trust. All professional sports teams incorporate a trained and knowledgeable person to cater to their athletes and ensure that they are, in essence, well oiled machines. It is no different when dealing with competitive horses being worked. Unlike a person, a horse cannot tell you specifically if and what muscles are sore and exactly what they need. A massage therapist as skilled as Megan can be your translator. I have owned my 14-year-old thoroughbred for seven years, and have been competing and training with him consistently in jumping and dressage. It is a shame I didn’t use the expertise and insight of a massage therapist earlier in my horse’s career, because the benefits of Megan’s work have been more than noticeable. My horse’s suppleness has improved, and Megan has helped me pinpoint areas of discomfort and sensitivity I wasn’t even aware of. Megan has been very easy to work with, even if my schedule is too busy to make time to accompany her during the massage I feel comfortable leaving her alone to handle my horse.
